This policy explains what information deeplyhumandesign.com collects, why, and the choices you have. The Deeply Human Design podcast is run by Danny Hearn. In this policy “we” and “us” means the podcast.
In short
- We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and episodes people visit.
- If you send a message through our contact form, we receive it by email and use it only to reply to you.
- We use YouTube API Services only to publish our own clips to our own YouTube channel. That tool does not access information about visitors or viewers.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not show advertising on this site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, added through Site Kit by Google. It uses cookies to record information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, your approximate location and how long you stay. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use these reports only to understand what people find useful.
Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Contact form
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. When you send it, the details are emailed to us. They are not stored on the website. We use them only to reply to you, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your message with anyone else. We keep these emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message, and we will delete yours if you ask.
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help block spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page and sends it to Google. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting company, Krystal, keeps standard server logs. These record your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. They are used to keep the site secure and working.
Embedded videos and links to other sites
Episode pages include videos embedded from YouTube. When you load or play one, YouTube, which is owned by Google, may set cookies and collect information about you under the Google Privacy Policy.
We also link to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Substack, LinkedIn and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them. We do not allow third parties to serve advertising on this site.
Cookies
This site places or allows these cookies on your device:
- Google Analytics cookies, used to measure visits as described above.
- YouTube cookies, when you load or play an embedded video.
- Google reCAPTCHA cookies, on the contact page.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as embedded videos, may not work without them.
YouTube API Services
We use YouTube API Services to upload short clips from the podcast to our own YouTube channel and to set their titles, descriptions and tags. This is a private publishing tool. Only we use it, signed in with our own Google account.
- What it accesses: only our own YouTube channel, with permission to upload and manage its videos. It does not access, collect or store any information about visitors to this website, YouTube viewers or any other YouTube account.
- What it stores: an authorisation token for our own Google account, kept securely on our server, and the IDs and details of the videos we upload.
- Sharing: we do not share this information with anyone.
- Revoking access: access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page.
Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use and share information
We use the information described above to understand what people find useful, to reply to messages, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell or rent it. It is shared only with the service providers named in this policy, Google and our hosting company, or where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. To make a request, use our contact form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
